Health Context
Chickpeas are a low-glycaemic-index legume high in fibre and protein, making them a smarter snack choice for blood sugar control and appetite management than fried or refined-flour snacks.
Alternatives
- Bake in the oven at 200°C for 20 minutes instead of pan-roasting for a hands-off version.
- Swap chaat masala for a simple mix of turmeric and pepper for a milder flavour.
- Mix in roasted peanuts or puffed ragi for variety.
